Katelyn Olsoy
Founder | Behavior Specialist | Educational Consultant
I’m an aspiring mental health therapist and experienced special educator with a passion for supporting neurodivergent children, teens, adults, and families. With a Master’s in Educational Studies, special education certification, and current graduate training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I blend behavioral science, trauma-informed care, and educational advocacy to help clients thrive both emotionally and academically.
I’ve spent years in public education designing and leading school-based behavior intervention programs, supporting IEP/504 implementation, and training educators in evidence-based, inclusive practices. As a former Behavior Coach and Assistant Clinical Director at Beautiful Autism therapy clinic, I integrate clinical knowledge with hands-on experience in school-based behavioral support to deliver practical, individualized care.
My work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves a compassionate, individualized approach. I believe caregivers should feel informed, empowered, and supported. I’m especially passionate about serving small-town communities, where access to care can be limited. Whether I’m guiding families through school systems or helping children and adults build skills for everyday success, I meet clients where they are - with empathy, clarity, and a commitment to meaningful, lasting progress.
I am to guide you with clear steps towards confident paths through life’s challenges.

Behavior Specialist | Educational Consultant
With over eleven years of experience in special education, I am a dedicated advocate for neurodivergent individuals and their families, committed to ensuring that every student receives the services, accommodations, and respect they are legally entitled to under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related education laws.
I have held special education teaching licenses in four different states, giving me a comprehensive understanding of how federal law is interpreted and implemented across diverse educational systems. I earned a Master of Arts in Education and am currently completing a second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health, further deepening my ability to support the emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs of the individuals and families I serve.
Throughout my career, I have worked across more than eleven school districts, developing a broad and practical understanding of IEP development, 504 plans, transition planning, ADA accommodations, and district-level decision-making processes. I am known for my strategic, solutions-focused approach and for advocating persistently — including escalating concerns to district leadership when necessary — to ensure students receive appropriate placements, services, and supports that allow them to succeed.
In addition to my professional background, I am the parent of a son on the autism spectrum. This lived experience informs my work in meaningful ways. I understand firsthand the emotional complexity, persistence, and clarity required to navigate systems that can feel overwhelming. I bring both professional expertise and personal empathy to every client relationship.
I have worked with students across the full developmental spectrum — from preschool through post–high school transition into adulthood. My services include:
● IEP and 504 advocacy and meeting support
● ADA accommodation guidance for K–12 and higher education
● College disability services navigation
● Transition planning and post-secondary preparation
● Vocational training and career planning
● Life skills coaching for adolescents and young adults
● Parent coaching and empowerment
● School communication strategy and documentation support
My philosophy is simple: neurodivergent individuals thrive when systems are designed to meet their needs — not when they are forced to conform to rigid structures. I take a strengths-based, affirming, and collaborative approach, equipping clients and families with the knowledge, language, and confidence to advocate effectively and sustainably.
Whether supporting a young child entering school, a teenager navigating complex accommodations, or a young adult preparing for independence, my mission remains consistent: to ensure every individual has access to the opportunities, services, and legal protections they deserve in order to live, learn, and work with dignity and confidence.
